Registration Under Various Labour Laws |

- The Contract Labour (R&A) Act, 1970:
It applies-
- to every establishment in which twenty or more workmen, art employed or were employed on any day of the preceding twelve months as contract Labour;
- to every contractor who employs or who employed on any day of the preceding twelve months twenty or more workmen :
- Factories Act, 1948:
"Factory" means any premises including the precincts thereof-
- whereon ten or more workers are working, or were working on any day of the preceding twelve months, and in any part of which a manufacturing process is being carried on with the aid of power, or is ordinarily so carried on, or
- whereon twenty or more workers are working, or were working on any day of the preceding twelve months, and in any part of which a manufacturing process is being carried on without the aid of power, or is ordinarily so carried on, and so on
